Tile calculator
Add each floor or wall surface, enter the tile size and waste allowance, and see tiles needed and boxes to buy once you add box details.
How the calculation works
Add measured surface areas, then multiply by (1 + allowance / 100). Divide by product coverage and round up only whole purchase packages.
Measurements and packaging
- Each surface is a rectangle. Add several for L-shaped or separate walls.
- Tile length and width give the face area of one tile. Grout joints are not deducted.
- Enter either tiles per box or coverage per box.
- Waste defaults to 10%; use more for diagonal or intricate layouts.
Worked example
A 4 × 3 m surface with 10% waste needs 13.2 m². Tiles measuring 0.3 × 0.3 m require 147 individual tiles. At 10 tiles per box, buy 15 boxes.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. Calculations and locally saved projects need no registration. Saving is optional; results are available before creating a project.
Are prices provided?

Can I reuse measurements?
Save to a named project area, then open a compatible calculator from that area.
Estimates are based on your measurements and product information. Confirm package coverage and quantities with your supplier before purchasing. Not structural or building-code advice.
